Hi:

I'm trying to configurate the check_iftraffic.pl, i'm use the file that i download from Monitor Exchange.

nothing happen, the server that i try to monitoring is a Windows 2003 server with NSClient++

I add this lines in commands.cfg

# 'check_iftraffic' command definition

define command{

command_name check_iftraffic

command_line $USER1$/check_iftraffic.pl -H $HOSTADDRESS$ \ -C $USER3$ -i $ARG1$ -b $ARG2$ -u m

}

and, this lines in my windows_servers.cfg

define service{
use generic-service
host_name Server01
service_description Traffic Load eth0
check_command check_iftraffic!eth0!100
max_check_attempts 3
normal_check_interval 5
retry_check_interval 5
check_period workhours
notification_interval 120

have you enabled SNMP on the Windows client?
have you made an snmpwalk to check if the Windows client HAS an interface called eth0
There is no sense in implementing a service definition if the check on the command line fails

check snmp

I ran a snmpwalk command for the windows server and this is the result:

snmpwalk: Timeout

The SNMP Service is running and is configurated in the windows server.

Quoted

I ran a snmpwalk command for the windows server and this is the result:

snmpwalk: Timeout
you might try to use snmpwalk with the option "-v1"
