Nagios 11 auf einer Virtuellen Machine starten

Hallo,

ich habe mir auf der offiziellen Seite "Microsoft Virtual Machine" (591 MB) heruntergeladen & entpackt.
So weit so gut, wenn ich aber die VMC-Datei starte, bekomme ich bloß folgende Fehlermeldung: siehe Anhang (Fehler.jpg).

Wie kann das sein bzw. wie kann ich die virtuelle Machine erfolgreich mit Nagios starten?


Zur weiteren Info: Ich sitze derzeit vor einem Win7-Pro Rechner mit Dual-Core CPU (3.2 GHz) & 2 GB RAM.
Installiert ist natürlich auch "Windows Virtual PC".

Und ja, ich möchte die Software im Netzwerk erstmal auf diesem PC testen, bevor die Software möglicherweise auf den Server kommt. ^^

Für Nagios XI gibt es nur kommerziellen Support, da wird dir hier kaum einer helfen können und wollen.

Der Nagios Core ist frei. Als Komplettpakett gibts z.b. OMD (omdistro.org). Die Icinga Jungs haben meines Wissens auch VMs zum testen.

Okay, joar, die Core-Alternative klingt interessant.
Nur da ist halt das Problem, dass es irgendwie nur für eine Linux-Distribution ist oder wie bekomme ich das auf Win7 zum Laufeb? :)

fuer nagiosxi konsultiere bitte nagios.com/support da es sich hier um nicht-freie, kommerzielle software handelt, die hier nicht supported wird.

Shinken läuft nativ unter Windows, alle anderen Varianten sind für Linux/Unix. Da kommst du dann um eine virtuelle Maschine nicht drumrum.

Ich sehe das wie sni... auf einer VM ein Unix Betriebssystem und dort dann Nagios installieren.
