[SOLVED]check status of process on windows machine through snmp

I need to check some process(Ex:explorer.exe) status on windows machine through SNMP,on windows machine windows admin installed and configured SNMP. I need to monitor that windows process through nagios which is on linux.I tried this plugin (http://nagios.manubulon.com/snmp_process.html) but i am unable to get that info from windows machine.i got error like this "No process matching explorer.exe found : CRITICAL " what might be the reason for this( I think snmp is configured in such a way that snmpwalk couldnot process this oid tree am I correct ?) ?By any chance can I check process status through check_snmp plugin, because i used check_snmp plugin to find remaining disk space on C drive and D drive?could some body please suggest me a plugin for this one.
Thank You
RAM.

Your profile states that you have NSClient++. I wonder why you don't use it and are trying to use SNMP instead. Please have a look at the official Nagios (!) documentation as how to set the definitions.

??? Are they able to check for processes? How are they doing it? I guess they're using an OID so you should be able to use it as well?!

Sorry again, but to me it still seems that you are trying to let other people do your work.

- have you read the complete (!) page whose link you posted?
- have you tried every option mentioned?
- have you made an snmpwalk and looked at the output (which shouldn't be necessary)?

The reason why I ask these questions: I just logged in on our system, had a short look at the usage of the plugin (which we use ourselves) and had the desired output not a minute later.

Quoted

"No process matching explorer.exe found : CRITICAL " what might be the reason for this
the reason might be that this process just isn't running...

I tried each and every option i had using that plugin and some other means like check_snmp and snmpwalk, for snmpwalk i didn't get any output.for this reason i thought snmp server on windows machine is not accepting snmpwalk requests from nagios server, thats why i asked for is there any other way to monitor process status like using check_snmp (using check snmp i am getting results like remaining c drive space on windows server).
Thank You
RAM.

Source code

1
./check_snmp_process.pl -H <host> -C <community-string> -v -n explorer.exe
should provide you with a list of processes, most likely with the message that explorer.exe wasn't found. "CRITICAL" seems to indicate that SNMP received some data from the remote machine because otherwise you'd get a timeout message. If your colleagues are able to get data via Whatsup you should be able as well. I doubt that they receive their data using some magic potion.

have you? I still doubt it because apart from "-v" all other mentioned options are mandatory and "-v" is the first option described in the documentation!
