1000 Mails

Hallo Forum,

also zunächst: ich habe einen Server der hat nur noch 700MB frei bei ner 8 GB Partition.
Nagios schickt mir in 3 Minutenabständen Kritische Mails während der Arbeitszeit und das schon seit Tagen. Kann ich irgendwie konfigurieren, dass ein, zwei Mails genug sind für diesen einen Server? Ich will das notification_intervall nicht erhöhen, da ich diesen Check für viele hostgroups verwende.

aha habe acknoledge gefunden und bekommen folgenden Meldung (oder Dave kriegt die =) )

Sorry Dave, I can't let you do that...

It seems that you have chosen to not use the authentication functionality of the CGIs.

I don't want to be personally responsible for what may happen as a result of allowing unauthorized users to issue commands to Nagios,so you'll have to disable this safeguard if you are really stubborn and want to invite trouble.

Read the section on CGI authentication in the HTML documentation to learn how you can enable authentication and why you should want to.

in der cgi.cfg steht drinn

authentication=1
authorized_for_all_service = ich
authorized_for_all_hosts = ich

um das Nagios interface zu sehen habe ich mich als "ich" eingeloggt.

so vorher war es:
authentication=0
authorized_for_all_service = *
authorized_for_all_hosts = *

jetzt bekomme ich die Meldung

also, wenn ich in der nagios.cfg check_external_commands=1 einstselle um das acknowledge auszuführen bekomme ich die Whoops Seite...

Kann es sein, daß Du ein wenig ungeduldig bist? Funktioniert vielleicht ein Refresh im Browser ein paar Sekunden später? Hast Du mit ps -ef | grep nagios.cfg geprüft, ob Nagios läuft? Hast Du schon mal die Suchfunktion hier im Forum benutzt, um nach der Meldung zu suchen?

Tatsächlich nagios lässt sich nicht mehr starten. parameter -v gibt keinen Fehler zurück.

also dann bin ich mal ganz geduldig und suche im Forum ... X(

Wenn der Check keine Fehler findet und Nagios ohne ersichtlichen Grund abbricht, solltest Du mal einen Blick in die Log-Datei werfen (voraussichtlich nagios.log).

also nach herumkonfigurieren und ändern läuft nun nagios und ich habe ein berechtigungsproblem auf das File nagios.cmd im rw verzeichnis.

Die User apache und nagios sind in der Gruppe Nagcmd die ser Gruppe, ich habe rechte auf das Rw verzeichnis folgender massen vergeben rwxrwxrwt so wie ich es in der englischen doku verstanden habe. :baby:

tja vorher war das rw verzeichnis auf 777 auf user nagios und gruppe nagios eingestellt
auch das sticky bit habe ich mit diesem user und gruppe gesetzt.

muss ich da ne htpasswd.users anlegen, damit der Webserver drauf zugreifen kann? glaube eher nicht habe nichts davon gelesen

öha, jetzt hab ich chown apache -R /usr/local/nagios/var/rw eingegeben uns siehe da, das acknowledge ist durchgegangen.
